Job Summary:

The Finance & Development Integration Manager serves as the primary liaison between the Development and Finance teams, ensuring that project development activities are aligned with financial objectives, investment criteria, and portfolio strategy. This role facilitates communication, drives cross-functional decision-making, and translates development milestones, risks, and opportunities into financial implications that support executive decision-making.

The ideal candidate combines strong project development knowledge with financial acumen and excels at coordinating stakeholders across multiple disciplines. This individual plays a critical role in moving utility-scale renewable energy projects from origination through commercialization by ensuring both teams operate from a shared understanding of project value, risk, and timing.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Development and Finance teams.
  • Facilitate regular project review meetings, ensuring alignment on project status, assumptions, risks, and financial impacts.
  • Coordinate information flow between departments and ensure key decisions are communicated effectively.
  • Develop and maintain processes that improve collaboration, transparency, and accountability across teams.

Project Financial Support

  • Partner with development managers to understand project schedules, permitting status, interconnection progress, land agreements, and commercial activities.
  • Translate development updates into financial implications for project models, forecasts, and investment evaluations.
  • Ensure project assumptions used in financial models accurately reflect development realities.
  • Assist in evaluating project economics, sensitivities, and risk-adjusted returns throughout the development lifecycle.

Portfolio Planning & Reporting

  • Support portfolio-level forecasting of development expenditures, milestone achievement, and capital requirements.
  • Prepare project summaries, investment committee materials, and executive-level reporting.
  • Track project performance against approved budgets and development plans.
  • Identify emerging risks and opportunities and communicate their potential financial impact.

Investment & Transaction Support

  • Coordinate due diligence efforts for project acquisitions, divestitures, financing activities, and joint venture transactions.
  • Work with finance, development, legal, engineering, and commercial teams to gather and validate project information.
  • Support valuation analyses and investment decision-making processes.

Required Education/Skills/Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in renewable energy development, project finance, project management, investment analysis, or related field.
  • Understanding of utility-scale renewable energy project development processes, including permitting, interconnection, land acquisition, and commercialization.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to synthesize complex technical and financial information for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.

Preferred

  • Experience in utility-scale solar, wind, energy storage, or hybrid renewable energy projects.
  • Experience supporting investment committees, capital planning, or project financing activities.
  • Familiarity with project economics, tax incentives, power markets, and renewable energy commercial structures.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to sit/stand at a desk, using a computer workstation.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, walk; lift push or pull objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to handle long periods of screen time and typing.
  • Must be able to have effective time management skills, with the ability to concentrate for long periods of time.
