Job Summary:
As a Software Project Manager, you will work with the management team to actively manage, coordinate, and communicate with clients and the software development team. You will oversee project execution, stakeholder engagement, and risk mitigation to ensure the project stays on schedule, within scope, and in line with budget while meeting business objectives. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies. You will play a key role in aligning technical delivery with business goals while adhering to Trihydro's standards for privacy, security, and intellectual property.
The preferred candidate will be based in our office in either Laramie, Wyoming or Fort Collins, Colorado, although other locations within our network of offices would be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, report, and mitigate risks to ensure the project stays on schedule, within scope, in line with budget, and meets business objectives.
  • Ensure projects are executed and delivered on schedule and that the right people, tools, and budget are allocated efficiently.
  • Plan, track, and adjust resources and timelines to meet business and technical goals.
  • Establish and maintain project/client-specific communication channels.
  • Lead software proposal teams with support from management and business development to prepare work and cost proposals for new projects.
  • Coordinate between product management, software engineering, QA, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and visibility.
  • Work with software engineering and QA teams to develop cost estimates and work breakdown structure.
  • Coordinate external testing with stakeholders.
  • Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, facilitating daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Work with Product Owners to ensure a well-groomed and prioritized product backlog.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in software development, business, or environmental science.
  • 2+ years of previous project management experience, (Solid understanding of project management principles preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development.
  • Advanced knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS) development lifecycle and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time, on budget, and within scope.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum Master certification (CSM); or ability to obtain certification within six months after hiring date.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and changing priorities.
