Ameresco is seeking a Project Development Co-op to work with the Solar PV Grid East Region Team, originating high-quality sites for solar and storage development.
Responsibilities:
  • Support site acquisition staff with the evaluation of site constraints including but not limited to environmental, regulatory, legal, entitlement, constructability, and interconnection restrictions;
  • Coordinate with the Director or Project Development Manager, the Project Development Engineer, Ameresco Legal, and Ameresco Finance lead to develop and Facilitate renewable project deal structuring (project deal strategy, economics, and contract forms);
  • Produce preliminary and final economic feasibility reports, including pro forma models and associated pricing with an emphasis on project risk/feasibility to pre-qualify deals;
  • Develop customer feasibility/avoided cost reports as required, research and submit local incentive and utility rebate applications, as well as assist in the development and coordination of technical RFP/RFQ proposals;
  • Work with the Director or Project Development Manager, and Development Engineers to assemble Ameresco RFP/RFQ proposals including, pre-bid job walk coordination, technical writing, project scope and pricing, interview presentations, and coordination of all other necessary input for a
  • Assist the Director or Project Development Manager and Ameresco Legal to negotiate and structure Solar PV and Solar Integrated contract deals;
  • In coordination with the Director or Project Development Manager, work directly with customer representatives throughout the project development process to resolve issues and maintain the project schedule;
  • Learn, utilize, and strengthen the sales system platform and maintain sales status CRM updates for select projects;
  • Review project submittals for quality assurance, technical accuracy, and customer-oriented solutions;
  • Support the financial due diligence process by working with the finance team and providing supporting project documentation;
  • Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes;
  • Cultivate positive and effective business relationships; and
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Progressing towards a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Science, or Math
  • Minimum 6 months of engineering work experience

Additional qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of engineering work experience preferred.
  • Excellent organization skills including the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong verbal, written, computer communication, and technical presentation skills.

The anticipated hourly range for this role is $23.00-$30.50 per hour (presented in good faith). In addition to base pay, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, and may be eligible for performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity, depending on the role.
Actual pay will depend on factors such as internal equity, skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. This range supports our commitment to pay transparency and compliance with applicable laws. Compensation may vary by work location, including remote arrangements.
