Job description

Job Title: Project Delivery Consultant
Location: 100% remote | Need to live in either Ohio, Michigan or Indiana as there is 20% to 50% travel within these states
Type of Role: Fulltime / Permanent
Salary: $112,000 - $168,000 + annual bonus
Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the United States without the need of sponsorship (Either now or in the future)
Manager Notes:
  • Will get access to company vehicle ($275/month) but unlimited gas card
  • Responsible for project estimating and operations development, throughout the sales process, from inception through contract signature, for the project portfolio, working directly with the Development Manager of that area.
  • Responsible for projects within the local geography, as assigned by the Development Manager, determining resource levels to attain schedule milestones and monitoring workforce levels to ensure conformance with the construction delivery plan.
  • Manages change/scope creep, ensuring that all scope changes are quickly and properly documented, and that change orders are approved prior to the performance of work, in partnership with assigned Construction managers.
  • Takes ownership of the development of the project execution plan, project schedule and project budget represents these factors to the customer
  • Strategizes and collaborates with the Sales and Engineering team, within the Area, to secure customer contracts. Develops and maintains customer and subcontractor relationships.

Position Summary
The Project Delivery Consultant supports the successful development and execution of projects from initial opportunity through contract completion. This role partners closely with the Development Manager, Sales, Engineering, and Delivery teams to oversee estimating, scheduling, budgeting, resource planning, and customer coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
The Project Delivery Consultant serves as a key liaison between customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Development & Execution
  • Lead project estimating and operational planning activities during the sales and development process.
  • Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and delivery strategies for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate project resources and workforce planning to meet construction milestones and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor project scope and manage change orders to ensure all modifications are properly documented and approved before work begins.
  • Support contract negotiations, including development of billing schedules and payment terms.
  • Maintain oversight of project profitability, cash flow, and overall financial performance.

Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact during project development and turnover to delivery teams.
  • Establish regular customer touchpoints to monitor satisfaction and communicate project status updates.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to secure new business opportunities and strengthen customer partnerships.

Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with Development Managers, Project Development Engineers, Construction Managers, and Delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Assist in identifying resource needs and coordinating staffing support for active and future projects.
  • Provide operational input during the early audit and planning phases, including:
    • Vendor and subcontractor selection
    • Value engineering
    • Risk assessment
    • Scope development
  • Support Construction Managers during installation by clarifying project design intent and delivery expectations.

Financial & Operational Support
  • Assist with annual operating plans, financial forecasting, and monthly reporting activities.
  • Ensure projects are properly established within company systems, including documentation and team assignments.
  • Promote consistent use of company tools and processes, including risk management and pipeline tracking systems.

Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Champion contract compliance, code compliance, and company safety standards across all projects.
  • Promote ethical business practices and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in project management, construction operations, estimating, or project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
  • Knowledge of contract structures, risk management, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or similar software.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen.
