Job description

WTTW (Chicago PBS) and WFMT (classical music radio station) are looking for a Development Project Manager. With passion for WFMT's purpose, the Development Project Manager will bring their enthusiasm, organizational skills, and creativity to the role and collaborative team, raising revenue through WFMT's on-air membership drives and basic member annual fund.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

WFMT On-Air Membership Drives

  • Manage WFMT bi-annual on-air membership drive efforts by working closely with Associate Director of Development.

  • Work with vendors, arts organizations, and fulfillment warehouse to develop, procure, and fulfill new WFMT thank-you gifts and prizes.

  • Serve as floor manager and provide support to WFMT announcers during drives.

  • Serve as point person for the drive's online marketing efforts. Write fundraising copy for email, social platforms, and website.

  • Manage WFMT's Bach to School music donation program. Maintain school contact list, manage school marketing emails, and fulfill school donations. Assist with Bach to School donor solicitations and school match acknowledgements.

  • Serve as point person for donor contact center vendor.

WFMT Member Annual Fund

  • Draft and coordinate direct mail and email campaigns for approximately 5,000 WFMT basic membership renewal solicitations monthly.

  • Track and analyze efforts to improve processes for basic membership renewals.

  • Cultivate and steward WFMT basic sustainer members.

  • Draft and coordinate weekly acknowledgement mailings for WFMT basic membership.

  • Address donor questions; troubleshoot and resolve issues for individual members.

WTTW and WFMT Development Team

  • As assigned, attend events and support special projects as a member of WTTW and WFMT's Development team.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Positive, team-oriented attitude

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational, planning, and troubleshooting skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Ability to maintain accuracy and productivity in fast-paced situations

Data and analytic driven mindset

Self-starter, motivated approach

Ability to learn new tech systems quickly, experience in website and database management a plus

Driver's License, suggested

EXPERIENCE:

2-4 years' in a development or fundraising team preferred

Administrative or operations experience

Project management or event management

Direct mail and email marketing a plus

MINIMUM EDUCATION: College Degree, a plus.

ESTIMATED SALARY RANGE:starting at $52,000 - $61,000/annual
