Job Description:
Description: The Project Coordinator - Facilities Engineering provides planning and oversight of all operationally-funded, interior finishes-related projects such as mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
Typical Duties:
  1. Plans, prioritizes, schedules and completes interior painting, flooring & ceiling replacements and other mechanical, electrical and plumbing-related projects using either in-house resources or contractors.
  2. Coordinates and communicates project-related activities including scheduling with customers/end-users and other JPS staff
  3. Ensures that infection control risk assessments (ICRA) and Preconstruction risk assessments are performed on all relative projects prior to implementation and meet regulatory requirements.
  4. Oversees projects from implementation through completion and validates all invoicing from contractors for work performed.
  5. Evaluates project performance of external contractors and reports concerns to Facilities Engineering Director/Senior Manager.
  6. Develops and manages both pre and post-inspection activities relative to approved permit holders using in-house or third-party resources
  7. Ensures all "active" ICRA/PCRA permits are properly closed and that all above ceiling work meets minimum regulatory requirements.
  8. Performs other related job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
    Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
  • Minimum four (4) years' experience in supervising and/or managing minor renovation project activities in a commercial environment.

  • Preferred Education and Experience
  • Three (3) years' experience in Hospital (Healthcare) renovation
