Job description

Summary
Spectrum has been a trusted name for over 50 years, with installations across a multitude of states. In 2018, Spectrum was acquired by Watchfire, one of the largest and most respected LED display manufacturers in the United States. Together, Spectrum by Watchfire continues to set new standards across K-16 education, municipal, professional sports, and recreational facilities.
For the role of the Project Coordinator, it will report directly to the Installation Project Manager in Houston. This role requires an individual to demonstrate proficiency across several technical and computer disciplines, possess keen scheduling abilities, understanding of construction, and demonstrate the motivation to apply their skills at Watchfire. This person is responsible for managing the documentation and tracking process while ensuring effective communication between team members, project managers, venders, and customers. Strong administrative organization and time management are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and secure all necessary project resources, including equipment rentals, tools, materials, and logistics support, to ensure efficient project execution and on-time completion
  • Assist in coordinating project schedules with customers and assign installation teams for the successful installation of scoreboards, signage, and other related products and services.
  • Prepare project documentation and ensure all project components are prepped for Installer pickup
  • Manage project cost by tracking all installation related expenses
  • Manage vendor or consultant selection to meet project needs
  • Serve as an additional contact for customers, installation crews, vendors, etc
  • Process closeout documents for project installations
  • Coordinate with QC to ensure Watchfire standards are met pre-installation
  • Regularly attend training on subjects important to Watchfire and stay informed of industry practices and standards.
  • Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, & crouch in and around tightly configured spaces on jobsites. Occasionally lift and carry 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.
  • Hours are daytime M-F. NOTE: Travel and tight deadlines may require additional hours outside this period.
  • Additional Duties as assigned

Required Education and Licensing
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Communication, or a related field
  • Strong experience with computers, internet, smart phone/tablet, Autodesk software (Inventor, Vault) and Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Certified ScrumMaster or Certified Associate in Project Management preferred.
