Plumbing Project Coordinator

Commercial Plumbing Division

Reports To: Project Coordination Manager

Location: Tempe, AZ - Corporate Office, 303 W Elliot Rd, Suite 101, Tempe, AZ 85284

Compensation: $26.44โ€“$31.25 per hour, based on experience

POSITION SUMMARY

Tempe Mechanical is one of Arizona's premier commercial HVAC and plumbing contractors, seeking a Full-Time Plumbing Project Coordinator to support our Plumbing Project Manager and Field Superintendents. This role works Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to think outside the box in a fast-paced construction environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Coordination & Documentation

  • Coordinate and input all plumbing jobs.
  • Order and track materials and equipment.
  • Prepare submittals, RFIs, subcontracts, change orders, O&Ms, and related project documents.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date logs (RFI, Vendor/Subcontractor, Change Orders) and track responses, advising the Project Manager and Superintendent as needed.
  • Perform document control functions in accordance with on-site policies and procedures, including tracking and creating RFIs, transmitting and tracking submittals, composing agreements, and maintaining the job status sheet.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with the Plumbing Project Manager and Field Superintendents.
  • Act as a liaison with subcontractors to expedite drawings and related information.
  • Communicate effectively with others and represent the company and project team in a professional manner.
  • Follow strong oral and written communication practices.

Administrative Support

  • Handle typing, filing, emailing, and scanning as needed.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assume responsibility for additional assignments and duties as requested.

Professional Growth

  • Present oneself as a candidate for promotion by learning construction methods and developing strong construction management skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of one year of experience in Plumbing Project Coordination.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Punctual and dependable.
