Attention to detail will be a valued trait for updating project schedules and preparing project reports. Monitoring client document control systems to route project inquiries, review status changes, and tracking upcoming deliverables is a key aspect of this role.The Project Controls Specialist II should be proficient with Project Management software utilizing Gantt charts. The role is responsible for maintaining project schedules using status updates provided by the project team as well as those conveyed through document control systems. This position is remote.As a Project Controls Specialist II, you'll be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, curiosity, and continuous growth. You'll contribute to meaningful projects that drive environmental and infrastructure solutions, while engaging Verdantas employees and clients to understand their needs. Monitoring client document control systems to route project inquiries, review status changes and tracking upcoming deliverables is a key aspect of this position.The Project Controls Specialist II will communicate frequently with project teams and Project Managers to monitor and report on design status, billing status, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).   • Request and process project status updates from Project Managers, Area Project Delivery Leaders and/or Area Leaders. Status updates may be collected via redlined .pdf files, email messages, text messages, phone calls, team meetings, or one-on-one conversations
  • Create project summaries and schedule variance reports with Project Managers
  • Generate project and portfolio level reports to share with Project Managers and project team as needed
  • Submitting, downloading, and/or updating forms, paperwork, etc. on external and internal document control systems
  • Develop Project Schedules using the project scope and Work Breakdown Structure
  • Create custom project schedules with little guidance from Project Managers
  • Update and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project, Excel Schedule, Vantagepoint Project Plan and/or Microsoft Teams
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-3 Year of Data Analysis Experience
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite - particularly Excel
  • Past/Current experience as a project accountant, project controls or project management
  • Experience in Microsoft Project, Vantagepoint, Power BI, Scheduling or similar programs

Salary Range:

$65,000-$85,000
