Job description

We are seeking an Offshore Planner to report to the Project Control Manager. The scope of the strategic planner role includes utilization of project information from various sources and coordinating with project stakeholders including clients to identify issues and concerns and generate trends and analysis thus assisting in identifying the risks and opportunities for the project and enabling leadership team to make relevant decisions in the favor of the project


Main Functions:


  • Utilize project data to identify risks and opportunities for the project based on trends and analysis.
  • Present clear and precise reports on key focus areas to support management decision-making efforts.
  • Identify and resolve misalignments in the data received from various sources in the project.
  • Utilize available data to ensure key components of the project are aligned to deliver a successful outcome.


Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project data to identify risks and opportunities for the project and communicate the same to relevant stakeholders through research and trends.
  • Coordinate and interface with various project stakeholders (internal and external) including client to timely identify the issues and concerns and their impacts on the project's offshore schedule.
  • Review the weekly and monthly project progress reports and make changes as necessary after alignment with the client to make it impactful for the management.
  • Actively participate in the leadership team strategic meetings to provide inputs to the management to make informed decisions in favor of the project.
  • Guide and provides direction to the planning team to ensure the focus remains on the right issues.
  • Close coordination with the data analysis team to identify and present various project data in visualization format for easy understanding and utilization.
  • Assisting the project control manager in preparing presentations for sponsor and leadership-level management meetings.
  • Recommending corrective/mitigative actions and monitoring agreed actions for impact and closure
  • Increase awareness of the project schedule, highlight critical and near-critical paths to ensure focus remains on success defining activities.
  • Provide overall what-if scenarios to demonstrate options available to deal with risks & opportunities
  • Ownership and overall accountability of the integrated schedule, actively identifying tension points and key issues


Work Location: Onshore/Offshore: Gulf of America

Rotation: 28 days on and 28 days off

Trainings required for Offshore - OGUK, BOSIET, TB Test

This individual would need to mobilize as soon as Sept 15th.
