About this role

We are recruiting for a Project Manager to join our Construction group in Burnaby.

Our team specializes in delivering medium- to large-scale commercial, institutional, and residential mixed-use projects, including high-profile projects that define communities. Your responsibilities

  • Work with clients and identify potential business opportunities
  • Estimate projects and submit tenders
  • Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
  • Maintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users
  • Manage project financials (including billing), purchasing, schedules and labour
  • Mitigate project risk, deficiencies and estimate changes as needed
  • Work with internal stakeholders, field staff and customers, to ensure projects remain on track, on budget and meet expectations
  • Be present on jobsites when required and review project upon completion to discuss success and challenges
  • Review the project at completion with the foreman and superintendent to discuss successes and challenges

Your experience and skills

  • Electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist diploma/certificate
  • 3 years' experience in Electrical Project Management and/or Estimating
  • Previous experience with estimating programs, specifically Accubid (Accubid Pro and Change Order) an asset
  • Good computer skills including MS Office, Procore, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Strong communication and team working skills
