Job description

Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) is seeking an Services Project Manager Associate to support the execution of U.S. Navy Control Systems projects. Working under the direction of a Project Manager or Program Manager, the Associate Project Manager will coordinate schedules, contractual deliverables, financial reporting, risks, actions, procurement activities, and cross-functional project execution.
The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, operations, quality, contracts, procurement, finance, subcontractors, and government customers to support the on-time delivery of hardware, technical documentation, testing, and other contractual milestones. As experience and performance develop, the Associate Project Manager may independently lead defined work packages or projects of limited size and complexity.
This position is well suited for an organized, accountable professional who can convert complex project information into clear priorities, maintain disciplined follow-through, and communicate emerging issues before they affect cost, schedule, scope, quality, or customer commitments.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain project schedules aligned with contractual milestones, engineering releases, material need dates, product testing, production, shipment, installation, and customer acceptance activities.
• Track contractual deliverables, customer comments, action items, decisions, and due dates through documented closure.
• Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, status reports, dashboards, decision log records, and customer-facing presentations.
• Coordinate activities across engineering, operations, quality, procurement, contracts, finance, services administration, and subcontractors to support on-time project execution.
• Maintain project risk, issue, opportunity, and change-control registers; identify emerging concerns and escalate them with recommended corrective actions.
• Support the Project or Program Manager in reviewing contractual requirements, scope, assumptions, acceptance criteria, and customer commitments.
• Support monthly project controls activities, including actual-cost review, estimate-to-complete updates, forecasting, billing, and revenue recognition
• Monitor purchase orders, supplier deliverables, material status, and subcontractor commitments; communicate potential impacts to the integrated project schedule.
• Support document control, configuration-management activities, testing readiness, acceptance, project handover, and closeout.
• Coordinate customer and internal meetings, establish appropriate communication rhythms, and ensure that commitments and decisions are accurately documented.
• Lead assigned work packages or smaller projects under the guidance of a Project or Program Manager, including schedule, cost, scope, quality, risk, and customer communication responsibilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve project execution, reduce avoidable cost, and strengthen customer value realization.
• Identify additional opportunities out of the ongoing project and submit those to the Program- and/or Engagement Management
• Define and align the project roles and responsibilities with the customer
• Assist in managing stakeholder expectations with the Sales Account Manager
• Manage and resolve project related issues with all necessary internal and external partners
• Assist the Program and Resource Manager to set up the project team
• Willing and able to travel to appropriate work locations, as required by SGT.
• Willing and available to work the core hours agreed upon with SGT management. Record expenses in an accurate and timely manner
• Perform other duties reasonably related to the position and business requirements.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, project management, technology, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in project coordination, project controls, program administration, engineering/manufacturing support, or operations.
• Understanding of engineering and/or manufacturing processes across design, development, and production.
• Experience maintaining schedules, project reports, action items, risks, issues, or contractual deliverables.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, follow through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Working knowledge of project setup, contract structure, progress reporting, billing, and revenue recognition.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, written, and verbal communication skills for multi level audiences.
• Ability to drive project goals, manage deadlines, and deliver results with urgency and accountability.
• Willingness to travel and work core project hours as required.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience supporting DoD programs.
• 3+ years working in customer facing environments.
• Experience with defense related engineering, manufacturing, shipbuilding, automation, or control system programs.
• Experience supporting project financials, billing, forecasting, estimate to complete development, or margin reviews.
• Experience coordinating suppliers/subcontractors and monitoring procurement, materials, production, or deliveries.
• Familiarity with project controls, integrated master schedules, configuration management, quality systems, change control, or qualification testing.

The pay range for this position is $81,700.00 - $122,600.00 annually with a target incentive of 10 of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
