WHAT WE DO: Remix Market by The Junkluggers is a second hand furniture store located in Stamford, CT. We sell gently used furniture and donate profits from the sales to local charities. We have partnered with Mikey's Way, a foundation that provides extraordinary children battling life-threatening illnesses free electronic devices to help them cope with the isolation, boredom, and fear that comes with battling a serious illness. It is a fantastic cause that we feel very passionately about and we are looking for a like-minded individual to join our team full-time to assist our warehouse manager with daily operations
JOB DUTIES:

  • Greeting and helping customers as they browse through the furniture warehouse.
  • Helping customers move purchased items to their vehicles.
  • Managing inventory and organizing items within the warehouse.
  • Processing payment.
  • Responsible for driving E-Commerce Sales - Manage the day-to-day online marketplace operations: customer service, maintain metrics/performance, update & post listings, create & optimize promotions
  • Responsible for photography, including staging items for best images.
  • Responsible for daily posting and responses on social media sites, including Facebook and Instagram.
  • Discover new marketplaces, test and build new accounts as needed and serve as project associate to ensure all aspects of partnership are integrated
  • Ability to keep up to date with online seller trends, mechanics, etc.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Social media content creator - Crafting engaging narratives through posts, images, videos, and interactive media to captivate audiences across various social platforms.
  • HS Diploma • Excellent oral and written communication skills, competent interpersonal skills, and strong organizational skills • Ability to communicate using technology•Ability and willingness to work with a team•Dependability and reliability a must!

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: You must be able to lift 50 pounds with ease.

WHILE PERFORMING THE DUTIES OF THIS JOB:

  • A friendly, outgoing personality is a MUST! You will be talking to customers all day and should be comfortable making a sale without being too "sales-y." We want our customers to WANT to talk to you!
  • A desire to help your community through giving back.
  • You should be organized. We cycle through thousands of items a week and inventory must be managed and kept up to date.
  • Previous retail or sales experience is a huge plus!
