Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Assistant electrical Project Manager/Engineer in Bloomington, IL. The Assistant Electrical Project Manager/Engineer supports the management and execution of complex commercial and mission-critical electrical construction projects. This role is designed for a motivated professional looking to advance into a full Project Management position while gaining hands-on exposure to design-build coordination and project logistics.

Job Type: Permanent

Annual Salary: $120,000 to $125,000 Annually BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers with comprehensive project coordination, documentation, and reporting tasks.
  • Support the management of RFIs, submittals, procurement, and project scheduling to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate effectively with field teams, vendors, and subcontractors to maintain project alignment.
  • Assist with budgeting and project tracking to monitor financial performance and resource allocation.
  • Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, and Accubid/Trimble software for project documentation and estimating support.
  • Participate in project meetings and site coordination to monitor progress and resolve field issues.
  • Support design-build efforts and logistics planning for large-scale commercial environments.
  • Maintain accurate project logs and documentation throughout the construction lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • 1-4 years of experience in the construction industry, with a preference for electrical construction projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude and a desire to grow into a senior Project Management role.
  • Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Accubid or Trimble.
  • Previous experience with IBEW teams or electrical contractor internships is highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to occasionally climb stairs and/or ladders during site visits.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
  • May be exposed to heights and loud noises while on active construction sites.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, and bending required for site inspections.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
  • Must be aware of and adhere to OSHA safety standards at all times.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $125,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
