Job Summary:

As the Project Analyst, you will ultimately be responsible for supporting construction project planning, coordinating project schedules and resources, and analyzing project performance to ensure successful project delivery. You will collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and within budget. As the Project Analyst, your customers are construction project managers, engineering teams, field operations, vendors, and internal stakeholders, and you will make meaningful contributions to the company's success through effective project coordination, data-driven decision-making, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):

  • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables for telecommunications construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to coordinate project activities and resource availability.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret project data, including budgets, schedules, resource utilization, and overall project performance.
  • Prepare project reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate project status and key performance metrics.
  • Identify project risks, issues, and schedule impacts while recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Assist with project budgeting, financial tracking, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project expenditures and support efforts to prevent budget overruns.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, meeting minutes, reports, audit records, and project files.
  • Coordinate communication and information flow between internal departments, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • Evaluate project performance and recommend improvements to project management processes and methodologies.
  • Support engineering teams by coordinating technical requirements and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Assist with troubleshooting project-related technical and operational issues.
  • Work with field crews one day per week to gain hands-on construction experience.
  • Support estimating activities and collaborate with the estimating team as needed.
  • Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs.

Required Qualifications:

Education, Licensing, and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Experience

  • Preferred 2–3 years of experience in project analysis, project coordination, or a related role.
  • Experience in telecommunications, utility, or construction environments preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare professional reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, financial tracking, resource allocation, and project controls.
  • Understanding of project risk management principles.
  • Reliable transportation to various project sites.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures and policies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, field personnel, leadership, vendors, and clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting telecommunications or utility construction projects.
  • Experience with project reporting, forecasting, and project performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of construction estimating processes.
  • Experience working in cross-functional project environments.

Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel to project sites.
  • Ability to travel to project locations for meetings, inspections, and project updates.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions when visiting project sites.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing 40–90 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles and work around heavy equipment.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and other required safety gear.
