Location

This is a full-time on-site opportunity based in our Cleveland, Ohio office, where you'll collaborate directly with project teams and leadership in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Note

Applicants must have at least 2+ years of construction accounting experience. Experience with construction job costing, AIA billing, accounts payable/receivable, and QuickBooks is required. Candidates without construction accounting experience will not be considered.

Job Description

  • Prepare monthly owner billings using AIA pay application formats with complete supporting documentation.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable while maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Process transactions, invoices, and financial activity using QuickBooks.
  • Print and issue subcontractor and vendor payments.
  • Perform job costing, budget tracking, project accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain the general ledger and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Partner with external accounting professionals to support audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure accounting activities comply with GAAP standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and leadership to support financial success across construction projects.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of construction accounting experience.
  • Experience with job costing and construction project accounting.
  • Knowledge of AIA billing and AIA pay applications.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience with MRI, Sage, Viewpoint, CMiC, or similar construction accounting software is a plus.
