How does a programs manager typically collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success?

Programs Managers frequently serve as the main point of coordination between various departments such as product development, marketing, finance, and operations. They facilitate regular meetings, set clear milestones, and ensure alignment on project goals and timelines. Effective Programs Managers are proactive in identifying potential bottlenecks and work closely with stakeholders to resolve issues quickly. This collaborative approach not only helps in delivering successful outcomes but also fosters a culture of open communication and teamwork across the organization.

What does a programs manager do?

Job description

We're looking for a hands-on Manager to drive program design, AI development, and data infrastructure for SharkNinja's Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business. Reporting into the Senior Director, Global DTC Program Design and AI, you'll turn strategic priorities into well-structured, well-delivered workstreams - spanning data infrastructure and engineering, AI tool development, and cross-functional process design.

This is a delivery-focused role for someone who pairs technical fluency with strong program management. You'll build AI-powered tools, keep data pipelines reliable and well-governed, and help embed better ways of working across the global DTC teams you support.

Location: This role could be filled in either Needham, MA or London, UK

Responsibilities

Data Infrastructure & Engineering

  • Manage and maintain DTC data pipelines across Snowflake and the wider technology stack, keeping them reliable, governed, and scalable for commercial intelligence, marketing measurement, and AI workloads.
  • Apply and help uphold data quality standards, architectural patterns, and data modeling principles so data stays consistent, trusted, and ready to use.

Program Design & Process Development

  • Design and run technically grounded programs that drive practical operational change across the DTC data function.
  • Break complex data and AI initiatives into clear workstreams with defined scope, milestones, and owners.
  • Work with commercial, technology, and regional teams to align process design with business needs, keeping new ways of working practical and embedded.

AI Development & Tool Build

  • Build, test, and deploy AI-powered tools and agents that automate workflows, surface insight, and replace manual processes.
  • Own the day-to-day AI build lifecycle - from problem framing and prototyping through testing, deployment, and iteration.
  • Document how tools work and apply sensible quality and evaluation checks so solutions are maintainable and easy for others to pick up.

Measurement & Reporting

  • Support multi-touch attribution and media mix reporting across paid channels, and help maintain GA4 governance and DTC site measurement.
  • Keep measurement methodology consistent across markets, adapting where channel or platform behavior differs.

Growth & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with DTC commercial teams to turn data into practical growth decisions, including performance optimization and marketplace expansion (e.g., TikTok Shop).
  • Communicate program and AI progress clearly to senior stakeholders, and help drive cross-functional alignment so decisions are understood and adopted.

What You'll Bring

Attributes & Skills

  • 4-5 years' experience in data, analytics, program or technical program management, or a related field - ideally supporting a commercial or DTC business.
  • Hands-on experience building or delivering data pipelines and/or AI-powered tools; comfortable working across the data-to-deployment lifecycle.
  • Strong working knowledge of Snowflake (or a comparable cloud data platform) and SQL; familiarity with GA4 and digital measurement is a plus.
  • Solid program and project management skills - able to structure workstreams, manage milestones, and keep multiple stakeholders aligned.
  • A practical, commercially minded approach to AI and automation, with good judgment on what's worth building and maintaining.
  • Clear communicator, comfortable translating technical detail for commercial and regional audiences.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Wrike, Asana) is a plus.
