independence.


Our Adult Residential Programs serve adults with chemical dependency and/or are living with a mental illness at one of our four different locations in Albany County. The goal of all our programs is to help the residents manage their diagnosis and build the skills necessary to live successfully in the community.


Holt House - Adults with both mental illness and developmental disabilities that need 24/7 support

Apartment Program - Adults who live in one- or two-bedroom apartments and are ready for less structure and more independence

Cohoes Residence - Adults who have a mental health diagnosis and need 24/7 support to help control their symptoms

Recovery Residence - Men who have both a mental illness and an addiction that need 24/7 support.


This position will be a Program Manager in our Off-Site Apartment Program.


Position Summary:

The Program Manager will be responsible for the day to day administration of the residential program assignment, including: selection, training and supervision of staff; selection of residents; compliance with OMH certification requirements and Medicaid documentation requirements; financial oversight within the program; facilities oversight; establishing and maintaining community/provider relationships; and participation in agency management and planning activities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out staffing function (selection, training, supervision and discipline)
  • Conduct quality assurance activities, including participation in compliance program.
  • Compile essential reports (including clinical, supervisory, fiscal, regulatory and evaluative)
  • Achieve units of service and revenue goals
  • Manage budget, including participating in budget development
  • Ensure that all records are maintained consistent with regulations (OMH, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Provide scheduled supervision to all Case Managers on a monthly basis; provide unscheduled supervision as needed.
  • Monitors bi-monthly medication verification inspections and weekly controlled substances verification.
  • Performs thorough room inspections minimally once per month.
  • Coordinates and ensures all admission/discharge procedures and that corresponding documentation is completed within specific time period.
  • Management of Program Petty Cash Funds.
  • Exercise good judgment
  • Maintains professional boundaries
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Requirements

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
  • Ability to drive a car or van safely, and transport clients as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and five years' experience in human services.
  • One-year supervisory experience in a similar program required.
  • Must have a clean, valid NYS Driver License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in human services related degree preferred.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday.
  • On-call responsibilities.
  • Additional coverage of shifts that varies based on the needs of the program, which may include overtime, evenings, overnights, weekend shifts and/or holidays
