Job description

What You Can Expect In This Role
Support the planning and execution of strategic investment and enterprise initiatives that enhance the firm's investment platform, operational capabilities, and business objectives. Partner with investment, portfolio management, data and analytics, technology, Asset Liability Management, compliance, accounting, and other business stakeholders to coordinate cross-functional programs from ideation through implementation. Develop and maintain project plans, facilitate governance and stakeholder communications, monitor scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and interdependencies, and provide clear reporting to senior leadership. Contribute to investment platform enhancements, process improvements, regulatory initiatives, product launches, business integrations, and the continued development of consistent program management and governance practices.
What You'll Do In This Role
• Partner with senior leaders to identify, evaluate, and prioritize high-impact strategic initiatives within Sammons Financial Group Asset Management.
• Manage and support strategic programs across investment data and analytics, portfolio management, investment strategy, technology, and related business functions.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams from ideation through implementation to ensure initiatives achieve intended business outcomes.
• Develop and maintain program plans, roadmaps, schedules, budgets, dependencies, action items, and resource requirements.
• Monitor program performance and provide senior leadership with clear, timely reporting on progress, results, risks, issues, and key decisions.
• Facilitate governance meetings, stakeholder discussions, scope and prioritization decisions, and change management activities.
• Identify and remove barriers to program success, escalating critical issues and driving timely resolution when appropriate.
• Lead coordination of investment manager onboarding and other investment-related initiatives, ensuring alignment across portfolio management, data and analytics, accounting, and operational teams.
• Support initiatives involving investment platforms, portfolio reporting, regulatory requirements, operational modernization, product launches, and business integrations.
• Conduct business impact assessments and cost-benefit analyses, and develop communications, documentation, and educational materials that support adoption of investment strategy initiatives.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, business administration, project management, or a related field Preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' of progressively responsible experience in program management, project management, business transformation, investment operations, or a related field Preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' financial services, asset management, investments, or a similarly regulated environment Preferred
  • Experience with coordinating complex, cross-functional initiatives and communicating with senior leaders Preferred
  • Experience supporting investment platforms, data and analytics, portfolio management, operational modernization or related investment functions Preferred
  • Strong program and project management skills, including the ability to manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, resources, and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and deliver results in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence individuals at multiple organizational levels
  • Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-support capabilities
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and executive-communication skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues, constructively challenge stakeholders, manage conflict, and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly understand investment, data, technology, and operational processes

  • Experience supporting change management, stakeholder readiness, communications, education, and adoption activities

  • 10% travel primarily to other Sammons Financial Group offices required

Salary Range Information
USD $95,311.00 - USD $158,851.00 /Yr.
