Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions has a career opportunity for a Federal Programs Business Development/Program Manager - Architecture and Engineering (A-E) Services to provide leadership across Wood's Federal A-E program - including strategic business development and overseeing execution of Federal A-E services.

Location:

Work location is flexible and can be remote from anywhere in the US

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic business development and oversee execution of Federal A-E services across various federal client contracts
  • Identify, develop, and expand business development opportunities across DoD and Civilian agencies including US Air Force, USACE, NAVFAC, DOI, GSA, DHS, FHWA, and other agencies
  • Serve as capture manager and assist in the preparation of major proposals and/or task order bids
  • Serve as program manager and/or work with project managers to drive sales and execution on active federal A-E contracts
  • Provide proactive client management to align expectations, contract requirements, budgetary constraints, and maximize CPARS
  • Routinely provide independent technical review and Quality Assurance on federal A-E projects
  • Assist in the development of technical project approach, schedule, budget, health and safety considerations, etc. for projects of varying types and complexities
  • Support federal account managers in developing strategic relationships necessary to preposition for Federal A-E contracts
  • Promote industry engagement through participation with the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) and other relevant organizations
  • Provide leadership across Wood's Federal A-E program - promoting client focused delivery and mentoring project staff on federal AE delivery standards
Skills / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years supporting AE project delivery, including 10+ years relevant experience supporting the Federal Government with AE requirements (DBB or DB)
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering with current registrations
  • Direct experience with federal DoD and civilian agency delivery standards
  • Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to provide cost efficient design solutions for facility restoration and rehabilitation
  • Proficient in current digital modeling applications including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in all phases and technical aspects of facility design, from programming through post construction services
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Ability to travel (client/internal meetings, conferences, project sites, etc.)
  • Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience supporting USACE, USAF, DHS, GSA, and/or DOI
  • Experience providing rehabilitation and modernization upgrades to existing facilities while preserving historical structures and landscapes
  • Proven leader with a strong background in strategic planning, business development, capture management, and execution of complex A-E projects/programs
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to build rapport and a trust with key clients, executive leaders, and team members
  • Be positive, persuasive, open, and professional with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Possess a collaborative and team-oriented attitude, driven by the success of Wood, and not merely personal results
