Welcome to Love's College Intern Program: The Love's college internship program is frequently referred to as the best in Oklahoma City. This rapidly growing program gives students in multiple areas of the business employee-level experience, not just busy work. Students gain valuable knowledge they cannot get in a classroom, and they are guided through the proper etiquette of a professional corporate setting. BASIC PURPOSE:
The Intelligent Automation Intern supports the Intelligent Automation team through business analysis, process documentation, process improvement, automation research, data analysis, testing, and solution enablement. The intern will gain exposure to robotic process automation (RPA), agentic AI, large language models (LLMs), citizen development programs, process discovery, and enterprise business operations while contributing to meaningful business initiatives.
Automation tools and capabilities are advancing every day, so the successful intern should be curious, innovative, creative, and comfortable with guided decision-making. The intern will receive direction, coaching, and feedback while also having the creative freedom to research options, organize ambiguous information, recommend improvements, and help shape practical deliverables for the team.
This internship also offers a chance to highlight the ability to learn technical skills quickly and apply them creatively to business solutions. Where there is a strong fit, it can serve as a pipeline to future Intelligent Automation career opportunities.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Assist with documenting current-state business processes, including workflows, process maps, business rules, systems, data inputs, outputs, exceptions, and handoff points.
  • Participate in process discovery and process improvement activities with business users, analysts, developers, and project stakeholders.
  • Support creation of process documentation, quick-reference guides, training materials, and team enablement resources.
  • Research automation, agentic AI, LLMs, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, UiPath, and other emerging tools or techniques that may support Intelligent Automation initiatives.
  • Help prepare business requirements, meeting notes, summaries, follow-up questions, process definitions, and recommendations.
  • Analyze data, identify trends or process gaps, and summarize findings in a clear, business-friendly format.
  • Assist with citizen developer program materials, communications, and enablement resources for business users.
  • Create presentations and recommendations for leadership, project teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Complete a summer capstone project and formal final presentation as part of the broader Love's internship program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited four-year university program, Junior standing or above; Senior standing preferred.
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in management information systems (MIS), business analytics, data analytics, computer science, accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and a genuine interest in technology are important for success in this role.
  • Previous internship, project, leadership, research, automation, analytics, or process improvement experience is a plus but not required.

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Required Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to ask thoughtful questions and summarize information clearly.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer skills.
  • Curiosity, creativity, attention to detail, initiative, organization, and a willingness to learn new tools quickly.
  • Coursework or project experience with SQL, Python, RPA, data analytics, process mapping, process improvement, and/or business systems.
  • Interest in agentic AI, LLMs, intelligent document processing, automation governance, citizen development, or emerging technology use cases.

Typical Physical Demands:
  • Requires prolonged sitting, with occasional bending and stooping.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
