We are now seeking for a Part-time Intern to join our Behavioral Health program with our DuPage Team!

This is an unpaid internship for current college students needing the hours to complete a course or graduation requirements.

We are offering 3 internship opportunities in the Behavioral Health Program at our DuPage Center.

All ESSENTIAL INTERNSHIP FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs comprehensive, in-depth assessments for a variety of program services. Does intake as assigned.
  • Provides a full range of case management, counseling, advocacy, educational, and related services.
  • Learns and utilizes agency and community resources.
  • Assesses community conditions affecting clients to identify resource gaps and problems.
  • Provides group services as indicated by program need.
  • Complies with agency recordkeeping expectations.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Works effectively with diverse staff and service population.

    1. INTERN ADOPTION SUPPORT AND PRESERVATION (ASAP)

    Grant-based, child under 18 years old. Intern provides in-home services to any family that was formed through private, DCFS, or international adoption, serving Kane, Kendall, DuPage, Will, McHenry, Lake, Grundy, and Kankakee counties in Illinois. Trauma/adoption training included.

    • Currently enrolled in a master's level program in Social Work/Counseling, required.
    • This internship will begin during the Fall 2026 semester and run through the entire school year.

    2. INTERN SENIORS/CAREGIVERS

    Grant-based, Individuals are 55+ in DuPage County. Provide office, in-home, or community-based 1:1 counseling and case management services to seniors. Facilitate support groups for caregivers and grandparents raising grandkids. Interact with other community agencies.

    • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's level program in social work/psychology/counseling, required.
    • There are internship opportunities for both summer and the 2026 school year.

    QUALIFICATIONS for all Behavioral Health Internships:

    • Must have access to a vehicle, proof of insurance, and a valid driver’s license to perform essential functions, required.
