Description
POSITION PURPOSE:
The SVDP of Bristol's Director of Programs is responsible for the oversight of the management of the SVDP homeless shelter, Resource Center, Outreach and Cold Weather Overflow. Flexibility with work schedule is required. Supervising direct reports is also required to ensure smooth operations. Engaging in in-house and other network and community meetings as needed to share ideas and continue learning. The SVDP Director of Programs is key to a team approach and commitment to ending homelessness in our community, working from a Housing First, Harm Reduction, Person Centered approach to ensure residents are supported to the greatest extent possible. The supervision of staff is crucial to ensure the smooth operation of the shelter.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher in related field.
  • Minimum five years Homelessness Services and Housing Placement experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
