Job description

Boys and Girls Club Programs Coordinator VISTA-UWGLV
United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley (UWGLV) is committed to improving lives and community conditions. We strive to create population level change in the areas of education, community stability, and healthy aging and ensure individuals who experience crises have the supports they need to rebound. We focus on strengthening the networks of providers that deliver services to address these concerns and through staff of UWGLV who lead efforts across all three-issue areas, we address issues at the programmatic and systemic levels seeking to identify and deal with the root causes. We utilize the collective impact framework as a method for this problem solving of complex social issues and we embrace and promote practices as an asset towards creating positive change.
Member Duties : The Boys and Girls Club Programs Coordinator VISTA will enhance programming for youth and families in Allentown by organizing, implementing, and expanding effective systems across the organization. Key responsibilities include developing a formal volunteer recruitment and training plan to boost community and corporate engagement, creating a data management plan to evaluate and report on member needs and program effectiveness, and devising a marketing strategy to enhance communications and promote BGCA's visibility. Additionally, the VISTA will design a youth and family program focused on nutritional wellness, aligning with BGCA's goals to improve health outcomes. This role is crucial for fostering community involvement and ensuring the effective delivery of vital programs and services.
