Job description

Internal Medicine Residency Associate Program Director Cone Health, Greensboro, NC

Cone Health is seeking an experienced physician-educator to serve as Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. This leadership role is ideal for a clinician committed to medical education, academic excellence, and the development of future internists.

The Associate Program Director will work closely with GME leadership to support curriculum development, faculty engagement, resident recruitment, accreditation compliance, and a positive learning environment aligned with Cone Healths mission of exceptional patient care and education.

Key Responsibilities:

Support oversight and development of the Internal Medicine Residency Program in compliance with ACGME standards and institutional policies

Maintain ongoing clinical practice demonstrating high-quality, patient-centered care

Assist with resident recruitment, selection, and retention

Contribute to curriculum development and milestone-based evaluation

Mentor residents, students, and faculty, fostering professional growth

Monitor resident performance and provide formative feedback

Promote academic excellence, professionalism, and collaborative culture

Serve as liaison between the program, GME leadership, and institutional stakeholders

Participate in program evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives

Compensation & Benefits:
