Memory Care Activity Assistant
Full-Time | Tuesday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Are you passionate about creating meaningful, engaging experiences for individuals living with dementia? Do you thrive in a structured environment where you can bring joy and connection to seniors? If so, The Groves Senior Living is looking for you!
As our Memory Care Activity Assistant, your primary responsibility will be leading structured, engaging activities for our Memory Care residents. You will follow a consistent routine designed to provide comfort, stimulation, and connection for those we serve. In addition, you will coordinate with care staff to enhance the dining experience, ensuring it is interactive and engaging, and lead evening and weekend activities to maintain a vibrant atmosphere. You will also assist the Life Enrichment Director with planning activity calendars, and ensuring needed supplies are on hand.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead structured activities in Memory Care, following a daily routine that fosters engagement and well-being
  • Coordinate with care staff to ensure activities run smoothly and residents are encouraged to participate
  • Lead daily structured activities, ensuring residents have engaging opportunities beyond standard daytime and evening programs
  • Assist the Life Enrichment Director with calendar planning and supply management
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience working with individuals living with dementia (Memory Care experience preferred, but related experience will be considered)
  • Passion for creating structured, engaging, and interactive experiences
  • Ability to lead group activities and encourage resident participation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with care staff and families
