SUMMARY:

The Trainer is responsible for maintain current knowledge of best practices within Trane Technologies and implement training programs according to the BOS standards. Improving employees' workplace performance by assessing and identifying training needs and designing and developing relevant training programs. Support rapid improvement events in the application and development of ideas. Guides and supports employees through change initiatives by communicating the benefits, addressing concerns, and providing necessary training and resources.

POSITION EXPECTATIONS:

  • Facilitate establishment, improvement and implementation of the Dojo Training Programs.
  • Assist in establishing and driving compliance of policies and procedures applicable to Dojo training programs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact regarding onboard training.
  • Plan, organize, and control all training activities.
  • Conduct onboard training for new employees.
  • Conduct plant tour and assist onboard process
  • Develop and implement evaluation of reaction and effectiveness.
  • Aid in the development of control plans as they pertain to training activities
  • Serve as the primary trainer and SME for all production personnel
  • Flexible covering all shifts if needed.
  • Continually update training and certification material to remain current with "Best Practices"
  • Able to create standard work through work study tools
  • Actively participate in problem solving activities
  • Assist in organizing and achieving logbook records to ensure accessibility and traceability for future reference.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Experience: 1 year or more in production training experience (Classroom and On the Job - OJT).
  • Intermediate level of MS Office is required (Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Word)
  • Knowledge of manual tools and DC Tools
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to measure with tape measure.
  • HVAC systems experience and understanding, or EPA 208 trained, preferred.
  • Understanding ADDIE development Model.
  • Training center layout and set-up.
  • Basic Lean Manufacturing (5'S, MDI board, Value added, Non-Value Added, Visual Management, 8 Wastes, Kamban, Takt Time, Cycle Time, Standardize Work)
  • Conduct and track all training, certification, and recertification activities.
  • Able to navigate through Apriso to pull Work Instructions, Material and Takt time.
  • Make recommendations for operator certification or de-certification.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts as required for training and certification purposes.
  • Ability to attend formalized training and certification classes as required.
  • Availability to travel for training purposes.
