We're hiring for our Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, and Eau Claire, WI offices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in bridge, retaining wall, and box culvert design. This role plays a key role across JT's municipal, transportation, and site development groups.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the structural design of projects from concept through construction
  • Mentor junior staff and performing quality control reviews of structural deliverables
  • Collaborate with colleagues and embracing JT’s values and culture
  • Communicate effectively internally and externally
  • Perform quality work within established guidelines
  • Assist with the management of project budgets
  • Adhere to internal Quality Control processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • 0 - 5 years of relevant experience
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Wisconsin or ability to obtain PE within 6 months of hire
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Mathcad, RISA, LEAP Bridge, MDX, Eriksson Culvert and other comparable structural design software
  • Familiarity with the WisDOT, AASTHO, ASCE, NDS, AISC, and other structural design codes (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical competence to perform project tasks independently
  • Knowledge of client and internal software required to complete projects
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to worksites, meetings with clients, and attend conferences
  • To be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, restrictions, or need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located
  • To occasionally travel out-of-town and overnight for professional development and/or project-related work
