Overview
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to assist in establishing our QA initiatives and team members. This position will help build out our QA processes with a particular focus on implementing automated testing. This is a unique opportunity to shape quality assurance and the testing processes of our team.
Responsibilities
  • Implement QA processes, standards, and best practices from the ground up
  • Design and build-out the testing infrastructure and framework
  • Create comprehensive testing strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Implement automated test suites and continuous integration pipelines
  • Create documentation for QA processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate quality practices into the development lifecycle
  • Evaluate and recommend QA tools and technologies

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
  • Proven experience with Playwright testing suite
  • Experience building testing frameworks and infrastructure from scratch
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (C#, .NET, or Python preferred)
  • On-site 5 days a week in Fort Wayne, IN

Preferred
  • Proficiency in Ascential Test
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and implementation
  • Expertise in testing methodologies (TDD, BDD)
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools
  • API testing experience
  • Performance testing knowledge and experience

Steel Dynamics is one of the largest and most diversified domestic steel producers and metals recyclers in the United States, with an estimated steelmaking and coating capacity of approximately 13 million tons, and facilities located throughout the United States and in Mexico. We operate using a circular manufacturing model, producing lower-carbon-emission, quality steel using electric arc furnace (EAF) technology with recycled ferrous scrap as the primary input. Our circular economy is powered by our three primary operating platforms: steel, metals recycling, and steel fabrication. Our steel operations produce steel products, including hot roll, cold roll, and coated sheet steel, structural steel beams and shapes, rail, engineered special-bar-quality steel, cold finished steel, merchant bar products, and specialty steel sections. Our metals recycling operations collect and process ferrous and nonferrous scrap from manufacturing and end-of-life items, such as automobiles, appliances, and machinery. This processed scrap is then sold to end-users for reuse, including our EAF steel mills, which produce new steel from the scrapped material. We sell a meaningful amount of steel to our own steel fabrication operations that in turn produce and sell structural steel joist and deck building systems to consumers.
