Based in Huntsville, theย Structural Engineering Intern will report to the Project Manager and will have a wide range of duties. You will be part of a team that offers services to private and government sector clients throughout Ontario and provides engineering solutions for bridges, buildings, and utility scale power generating facilities. This is a new position. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $92,000 annually.
What Youโ€™ll Do:
As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will:

  • Perform pre-engineering inspections and surveys
  • Complete, check, and review technical deliverables including reports, technical notes, drawings, and engineering calculations
  • Prepare plans, proposals, specifications, supporting documents, reports, and permit applications
  • Complete preliminary and detailed design and specifications for structural projects (e.g. transportation structures and commercial, residential, and industrial buildings)
  • Assist with tenders, proposals, and cost estimates
  • Participate in public and stakeholder consultation
  • Perform construction inspections
  • Assist with project management and construction administration

  • You are a registered Civil Engineering Intern
  • You have 0-3 years of experience in the civil/structural consulting industry
  • Building Code knowledge and/or a BCIN is considered an asset
  • You are proficient in AutoCAD
  • Bridge design experience is an asset
  • You are willing to travel when necessary
  • You can exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives
  • You are not afraid to raise your hand when you need help or guidance
