As Director Engineering, Systems & Digital, you will step into a global leadership role shaping engineering governance, systems and digital capability across Sedgman's international engineering network.
This newly created role will lead the global optimisation and transformation of engineering delivery. You will establish and embed best practice systems, standards and governance frameworks, while championing integrated digital engineering, data and AI-enabled solutions that improve productivity, quality, decision-making and delivery predictability.
This role can be based out of our Phoenix, Montreal or Vancouver offices.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead the development and adoption of engineering governance frameworks, systems and standards that enable high-performing engineering delivery globally.

  • Provide functional leadership for global engineering systems, standards and governance, establishing scalable frameworks that drive consistency, quality and execution discipline across regions without direct operational ownership of engineering delivery teams.

  • Align engineering systems. processes and tools to enable efficient, seamless delivery at scale across complex project environments.

  • Champion the adoption of integrated digital engineering, data and AI-enabled capabilities to improve productivity, decision-making and delivery outcomes.

  • Establish a consistent global approach to engineering execution that enhances predictability, reduces risk and strengthens delivery performance.

  • Use data and performance insights to continuously improve quality, efficiency and overall project outcomes.

  • Drive strong commercial outcomes through effective governance of engineering systems, software vendors and strategic investments.

  • Partner with regional leadership to align engineering capability with business priorities, growth objectives and long-term performance.

What we're looking for:
You're a strategic and technically credible engineering leader with the ability to operate globally, influence change at scale and build the systems, standards and capability that enable high-performing engineering project delivery.
  • A degree-qualified engineering leader with 20+ years' experience in engineering design across minerals processing, oil and gas, chemical or related sectors.

  • Senior leadership experience across complex, multi-discipline engineering teams.

  • Strong EPCM experience, including engineering systems integration and delivery governance.

  • Deep understanding of engineering applications, BIM/CDE environments and emerging digital engineering capability.

  • Demonstrated experience operating across regions, cultures and matrixed stakeholder groups.

  • Commercially astute, outcome-focused and confident translating strategy into execution.

  • Innovative, decisive and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • A strong communicator who can influence globally and bring teams with you through change.
