SRE & Stability Program Director

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SRE & Stability Program Director to lead enterprise-wide reliability, stability, cloud resiliency, availability, recovery, monitoring, observability, automation, and AIOps initiatives across critical banking, financial services, and payment platforms.

This leader will establish and execute a comprehensive technology stability strategy covering applications, APIs, microservices, databases, middleware, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes/OpenShift, messaging platforms, payment systems, and enterprise integrations.

The role will drive the transformation from reactive production operations to proactive, predictive, automated, and self-healing operations.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in highly available, highly regulated, transaction-intensive environments where availability, transaction integrity, performance, resiliency, disaster recovery, and customer experience are critical.

  • 15+ years of technology, engineering, SRE, infrastructure, or production operations experience.

  • 8+ years of senior technology leadership experience.

  • Proven leadership in SRE, stability, resiliency, availability, monitoring, observability, and recovery programs.

  • Strong experience in banking, financial services, payments, fintech, or other mission-critical transaction environments.

  • Proven experience leading enterprise-wide reliability transformation.

  • Strong cloud architecture and cloud resiliency experience.

  • Experience with Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, RTO/RPO, failover, and recovery engineering.

  • Strong observability and monitoring strategy experience.

  • Experience implementing AIOps, automation, and self-healing.

  • Strong experience with distributed systems, microservices, APIs, databases, messaging, and cloud platforms.

  • Experience leading Sev1/Sev2 incidents.

  • Experience managing large cross-functional engineering organizations.

  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
