Dementia Programming Director - Memory Care

Full-Time | Faith-Based Senior Living Community

Our faith-based Memory Care community is seeking a compassionate, creative, and energetic Dementia Programming Director to lead our resident engagement and life enrichment program.

This position is responsible for creating meaningful experiences that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual well-being of residents living with dementia.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain a monthly activity calendar with engaging dementia-specific programming
  • Incorporate faith-based and spiritual activities into daily programming
  • Plan special events, holiday celebrations, and community outings
  • Coordinate creative crafts, sensory activities, and cognitive stimulation programs
  • Honor and recognize veterans through meaningful programs and observances
  • Decorate the community for holidays and special events
  • Communicate effectively with families, hospice agencies, chaplains, entertainers, and other community partners
  • Work collaboratively with department leaders to ensure residents' interests and needs are met
  • Maintain activity documentation and participation records
Qualifications:
  • Experience in Activities, Life Enrichment, Recreational Therapy, or Senior Living preferred
  • Experience working with individuals living with dementia required
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and events
  • Creative, energetic, and compassionate with a heart for serving seniors
  • Activity Director certification or Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) preferred but not required
