Job description

CUI Telecommunications is seeking a highly organized and driven Construction Coordinator to support and oversee the successful execution of telecommunications construction projects across multiple markets. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills, experience coordinating field operations, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Telecommunications construction experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee daily construction activities related to telecommunications infrastructure projects, including fiber, coaxial, underground, aerial, and MDU construction initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules to ensure timelines and milestones are achieved.
  • Partner closely with field leadership, subcontractors, vendors, permitting agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Track project progress, budgets, materials, labor, and expenses while identifying and addressing potential delays or cost impacts.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, safety policies, and local/state/federal regulations.
  • Assist with permitting processes, utility coordination, traffic control planning, and project documentation management.
  • Maintain accurate records including construction reports, permits, project updates, change orders, invoices, and completion documentation.
  • Monitor contractor and vendor performance to ensure adherence to project expectations and service-level standards.
  • Serve as a key communication point between operations leadership, construction teams, customers, and project stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks or field issues proactively and collaborate with leadership teams to develop solutions quickly and effectively.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, quality, and project delivery performance.
QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience
  • 3–5 years of construction coordination, project coordination, or telecommunications operations experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting fiber, broadband, cable, or utility construction projects is highly desired.
Technical Skills
  • Working knowledge of telecommunications construction practices, permitting processes, and field operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, project management platforms, and construction tracking tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, maps, and project documentation.
Communication & Leadership
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and external partners.
