Job description

OSP Permit Coordinator / Permit Specialist

Location: Marshall, TX or Kingsville, TX

Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite Pay: $29-$35/hour + Bonus Opportunity


We are seeking an experienced OSP Permit Coordinator / Permit Specialist to support fiber network construction projects across Texas. This role is responsible for managing the full permitting lifecycle for underground and aerial telecommunications projects, ensuring permits are submitted, tracked, approved, and ready ahead of construction schedules.


What You'll Do

Prepare and submit permit applications for fiber construction projects.

Coordinate with local municipalities, utility companies, DOT agencies, and other permitting authorities.

Track permit status and proactively resolve approval delays.

Identify and manage long-lead permits, including DOT, railroad, and right-of-way permits.

Support utility pole attachment and make-ready processes.

Maintain accurate permit records and reporting documentation.

Partner closely with engineering, construction, and project management teams to support network deployment schedules.

Provide regular updates on permit progress and project milestones.


What We're Looking For

5+ years of permitting experience within telecommunications, broadband, or fiber construction preferred.

Strong knowledge of city, county, DOT, railroad, and right-of-way permitting processes.

Experience supporting underground and/or aerial utility projects.

Familiarity with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS, IQGeo, 3GIS, or similar tools.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of utility pole attachments, make-ready processes, or OSP engineering is highly preferred.
