Here's how a Field Coordinator for PCL Constructors Canada Inc. within Winnipeg contributes to our team:

Responsibilities
  • Assists with updating drawings and specifications.
  • Documents field records for quality, production, labor, and materials.
  • Assists with inventory and tracking time sheets, costs, and quantities.
  • Prepares quantity takeoffs.
  • Assists in monitoring the quality plan, including conducting quality inspections, deficiencies and issue management.
  • Conducts basic safety inspections and training, identifies and corrects safety hazards, and leads by example in safety practices and procedures.
  • Assists the project team with subtrade partner management, including managing requests for information, shop drawings, changes and billings and workforce planning
  • Assists with schedules and monitoring performance.
  • Assists in creating construction sequence and work plans.
  • Construction surveying and layout, including as-built documentation.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, architecture, trade or a related field.
  • 1 year of progressive experience as field coordinator is preferred.
  • Ability to learn and apply basic construction principles, specifications, and procedures. 
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders including supervisors and subtrade partners.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
  • Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD and Revit considered an asset.
