Position Summary

Acuren is currently seeking a Project Coordinator to join our dynamic engineering, laboratory, and integrity operations in the Pacific Region. This unique opportunity involves providing administrative and technical support, implementing innovative work techniques, and fostering a collaborative environment within the Engineering department. 

  • Location: Richmond, BC - Acuren Richmond Office
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Compensation: CA$32.00-CA$35.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities

Reporting to the Engineering Division Manager this role will support the efficient and profitable delivery of engineering and laboratory technical services in the following areas

Project Coordination:

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating engineering projects from initiation to completion.
  • Monitor and report on project progress and task lists to support adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Assist project managers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Preparation, tracking, and processing of project financials and invoices
  • Management, auditing, and review of project files
  • Escalate risks to the project manager as necessary

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and complete records of project activities, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Word processing and proofing of technical letters and reports
  • Preparing and issuing job estimates
  • Internal and external technical meeting support (scheduling, minutes, agenda review)

Support office operations:

  • Auditing and compliance support for regulatory requirements
  • Support of division software use and integration
  • Communication and support of work practices and metrics
  • Providing direction and support to administrative staff
  • Quality management support
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Completion of a post-secondary diploma, certificate, or recognized technical/trades program in a related field is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in a discipline demonstrating strong writing, research, and project management skills is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in administrative support, project coordination, or engineering coordination is required. Experience within an engineering, consulting, or technical environment is preferred.
  • Bookkeeping experience is considered an asset.
  • An engineering or technical background is considered an asset.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, including experience with electronic file and document management systems.
