Job description

Programming & Events Manager

Location: 401 Park Drive, Boston MA 02215

The Opportunity

Samuels & Associates is seeking an exceptional Programming & Events Manager to own the strategy, production, and execution of all public-facing programming and activations at Time Out Market Boston, Boston’s first food hall and one of the largest culinary anchors in the city.

This is a leadership position for a proven event professional who understands the intersection of hospitality and live experience — someone who can build a programming vision from the ground up, execute it with precision, and directly contribute to the Market's commercial success.

As Samuels & Associates enters a new chapter of operational leadership at the Market, programming will serve as a primary engine for growth: driving foot traffic, elevating vendor performance, deepening community engagement, and cementing Time Out Market Boston's place as a defining cultural destination.

What You Will Own

Programming Strategy & Hospitality Integration

  • Develop and manage an annual programming calendar aligned with revenue, traffic, and vendor performance goals
  • Curate signature event series across culinary, cultural, wellness, and live entertainment verticals
  • Ensure all activations are operationally viable and designed to drive F&B sales and guest experience

Event Execution & On-Site Leadership

  • Serve as the primary operational lead from load-in through breakdown
  • Orchestrate coordination across culinary vendors, bars, FOH, security, facilities, and external talent
  • Oversee staging, A/V, signage, and rentals while holding the timeline and protecting ongoing service

Vendor & Talent Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all programming partners and third-party vendors
  • Build and maintain a vetted network of local performers, DJs, chefs, instructors, and rental partners
  • Set clear service standards and manage production communications with consistency and accountability

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Align programming with Marketing, Operations, and Finance across promotional strategy, staffing, budgets, and creative needs
  • Serve as the connective lead across every department that touches the guest experience

Performance & Reporting

  • Track attendance, expenses, and vendor sales impact for every program
  • Analyze ROI and produce post-event recaps and performance summaries
  • Maintain a master programming calendar, reporting dashboard, and contribute metrics to monthly reporting

What You Bring

  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in event production, hospitality programming, experiential marketing, or venue management
  • A strong hospitality foundation with experience within a restaurant group, hotel, private club, or cultural venue strongly preferred
  • A proven track record of managing high-volume, complex event calendars
  • Hands-on experience building BEOs and operating within event management software platforms
  • Demonstrated skill in budget management, vendor contracting, and financial accountability
  • Experience coordinating A/V systems and overseeing live production elements
  • Exceptional organizational instincts and communication skills — written, verbal, and operational

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $90,000.00

Why This Role?

  • Step into a high-visibility leadership position at one of Boston's most recognized food and culture destinations
  • This is a rare build-it-yourself opportunity with the creative and strategic latitude to design signature experiences and develop community partnerships
  • Make a measurable impact and cement Time Out Market Boston as a cultural anchor in The Fenway

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced, high-volume environment with continuous interaction across vendors, guests, and operational teams
  • Frequent standing, walking, with light physical activity
  • Evening and weekend work on a regular basis
  • Physical capability to lift up to 30 pounds and assist with light event setup/breakdown as needed
