Duties:

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the Walton Street Steam Plant, and other duties as directed by the Plant VP, WSSP Operations.
  • Promote, ensure and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, and Enwave HSE policies, programs and procedures.

Qualifications or Skills Required:

  • Hold a 2nd Class Operating Engineer Certificate or be in a position to obtain a 2nd class OE certificate within 4 months of accepting this position.
  • Have strong technical skills and be able to work safely alone or in a team environment.
  • Process the skills and confidence to successfully perform the duties of the shift engineer as required.
  • Must be capable of performing basic maintenance tasks as required.
  • Be able to perform W@H and Confined Space tasks.
  • This position involves rotating shifts.
  • Hold a valid Ontario driver's license
  • This position is available immediately and probation will start once the candidate starts to work
  • This position will have direct contact with service contractors, suppliers, inspectors (insurance and government) and customers
  • Attendance, punctuality, appearance, and positive behavior required to foster positive relations with contractors, clients, staff, etc., that is in line with a leadership position.


Compensation: $ 45.40-$46.90CAD per hour.
