This role works closely with project leadership, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure strong cost control, contract compliance, and overall financial performance of the project. How will you contribute to the team.

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Assist in the administration of prime contracts and subcontract agreements Support change management processes including tracking, pricing, and negotiating change orders and variations Monitor project costs, budgets, and forecasts to ensure alignment with financial objectives Assist in preparing cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and monthly financial reviews Support cost value reconciliation (CVR) and variance analysis Review and process subcontractor payment applications and invoices Assist with procurement and commercial onboarding of subcontractors and suppliers Identify and track commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle Support preparation and submission of claims and assist in dispute resolution processes Maintain accurate commercial records, including contracts, correspondence, and cost documentation Liaise with project teams, consultants, and clients to resolve commercial and contractual issues Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company commercial procedures Education and Experience: Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field 4-8+ years of experience in commercial management, cost control, or contract administration within construction projects Experience working on infrastructure or transit projects is preferred Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes Experience managing subcontractor commercial activities and financial reporting Familiarity with contract forms (e.g., CCDC) and commercial documentation Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines Detail-oriented with strong organizational and reporting skills Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage commercial risks proactively Working knowledge of commercial and project tools (e.g., Excel, Procore, ERP systems) Experience working within Construction Management, Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, Alliance, or Joint Venture environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with Metrolinx, GO Expansion, TTC, municipal, provincial, or public-sector clients is considered a strong asset.
