About the Role:
We're looking for a hands-on Product Design Engineer to drive innovation and improvement across our product lines. You'll take ideas from concept to production-designing in SolidWorks, working side-by side with production teams, and ensuring our products are safe, reliable, cost-effective, and easy to manufacture.
What You'll Do:
· Design and develop new products and improve existing ones.
· Create 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and process instructions.
· Estimate production costs and optimize designs for manufacturability.
· Lead multiple projects from start to finish, keeping timelines on track.
· Partner with production to solve real-time shop floor challenges.
· Continuously improve product performance, safety, and profitability.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, sales, and manufacturing.

Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience:
· 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with a strong mechanical background.
· SolidWorks proficiency (5+ years) with strong parametric modeling and bottoms-up design.
· Skilled with measuring equipment, reverse engineering, and part inspection.
· Knowledge of machining, welding, sheet metal, and general shop practices.
· Ability to design for manufacturability and serviceability with creative problem-solving.
· Strong communication skills to work effectively with production teams and vendors.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills:
· SolidWorks surfaces and sheet metal modeling.
· Experience with welding processes, tooling, and fixture design.
· Basic electronics (wiring harnesses).
· Familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
· Broad understanding of machine structures, mechanisms, and manufacturing processes.
· Strong 3D CAD expertise in SolidWorks required.
· Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, or electrical systems is a plus depending on assignment.
