Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Jersey City, NJ that is in need of a SQL Python Developer.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and data solutions
* Build and optimize multithreaded/multiprocessing data pipelines
* Write, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries (Snowflake preferred)
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments
* Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Git
* Develop automated test cases and ensure code quality and reliability
* Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve production issues
* Contribute to development of financial/risk-related applications
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
* 8+ years of experience in Python development and data engineering
* Strong expertise in Python (including pandas) and SQL
* Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
* Familiarity with AWS cloud services
* Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) and version control (Git)
* Experience writing automated tests (pytest, unittest)
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
* Experience working in Agile and distributed team environments
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
