Python AI Developer - Microsoft Copilot Studio

Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid)
Salary: $100,000
Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview

We are seeking a Python Developer with hands-on experience building AI-powered applications and Microsoft Copilot Studio solutions. This role will combine backend Python development with the design, integration, and support of enterprise AI and automation solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong Python development background, experience building APIs and backend services, and practical experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio. Experience integrating Copilot solutions with Microsoft Power Platform, Azure AI services, enterprise data sources, or large language models is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications and backend services.
  • Build APIs, data-processing services, and integrations using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
  • Design and support Microsoft Copilot Studio agents and AI-powered business solutions.
  • Integrate Copilot Studio with enterprise data sources, APIs, databases, and third-party applications.
  • Develop and support AI-driven workflows and process automations.
  • Work with Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Support integrations with Azure OpenAI and other Microsoft AI services.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI and automation.
  • Troubleshoot application, API, integration, and performance issues.
  • Implement appropriate authentication, security, and data protection practices.
  • Optimize existing applications and AI solutions for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Document application architecture, integrations, technical designs, and processes.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional Python development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing backend applications, APIs, or services using Python.
  • Experience with a Python framework such as FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, including building or supporting conversational agents or enterprise AI solutions.
  • Experience integrating applications with REST APIs, databases, and external services.
  • Experience working with generative AI, LLM-powered applications, conversational AI, or intelligent automation.
  • Strong understanding of backend architecture, authentication, API integrations, and application performance.
  • Knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and ORM concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, and/or SharePoint.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and Microsoft AI tools.
  • Experience with Azure OpenAI, RAG, knowledge retrieval, or LLM integrations.
  • Experience integrating Copilot Studio with enterprise data sources and business applications.
  • Familiarity with prompt design, AI guardrails, authentication, and security for enterprise AI applications.
