Job Description

This position will report to the DevOps Managed Services division and be responsible for creating and maintaining DevOps environments for ZData clients.

 

Summary Description: 

  • Participate in design, implementation and automation of system architectures that scale with custom requirements.
  • Create and support cloud (AWS and GCP) and local cluster environment and infrastructure.
  • Assist with automation of builds and deployment of software products.
  • Prepare and implement data security, backup and disaster recovery.
  • Help optimize software development and deployment
  • Experience programming and/or scripting (python or  java preferred)
  • Experience working with Ansible and Terraform
  • Exposure to big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL, EMR, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Kafka, ElasticSearch)
  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment
  • Familiarity with software development practices such as Agile, Pair, XP
  • Familiarity with code repository tech (GIT)
Qualifications

Preferred qualification:

        Ability to learn quickly
        Hands on experience using Massively Parallel Processing technology
        Exposure to one or more MPP DBMS (Teradata, Vertica, Netezza, Greenplum)
        Expert in Ansible and Terraform
        Experience with Big Data Technologies.
        Experience with Data Warehousing and ETL/ELT
        Experience with AWS, Google Cloud
        Bachelor's Degree
        5+ years of technical expertise.
        Ability to Travel.
