Position Summary

Pathway Group is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer for a growing precision machining manufacturer in the Chino area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of CNC lathe machining experience, programming,  and be capable of performing complete machine setups, operation, and production runs independently. Experience with Haas and Fanuc controls is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform complete setup and operation of CNC lathes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Set tooling, offsets, fixtures, and machine parameters.
  • Operate CNC lathes using Haas and Fanuc controls.
  • Conduct first article and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot machining and setup issues.
  • Maintain production standards while ensuring quality requirements are met.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of CNC Lathe Programming experience 
  • Ability to perform full machine setups with minimal supervision.
  • Experience operating CNC lathes with Haas and Fanuc controls.
  • Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.
  • Ability to work overtime during the week and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a precision machining or aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Multi-axis machining experience is a plus.
