Job description

About Us

FOX Innovation & Technologies is a leading global partner in turbomachinery aftermarket engineering and services, dedicated to enhancing energy security, reducing emissions, and driving operational value for industries around the world. We combine world-class proprietary technologies, rapid cycle capabilities, and deep industry expertise to provide OEM-level solutions across centrifugal compressors, pumps, turbines, valves, and other mission-critical rotating equipment.

More than just a service provider, FOX is an OEM-caliber engineering and manufacturing hub, capable of reengineering, revamping, and remanufacturing complex machinery to meet client demands with precision and sustainability. Join us and be part of a team where cutting-edge engineering meets shop-floor reality—delivering solutions that keep global industry turning effectively and responsibly.

The Opportunity

The CNC Programmer is responsible for programming advanced CNC equipment to machine high-precision components used in turbomachinery and related industrial applications. This role bridges the gap between engineering design and manufacturing execution by interpreting technical blueprints, creating efficient machining strategies, and programming high-precision parts for production on 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills and lathes. The role includes close collaboration with the operations team to ensure dimensional accuracy and manufacturability of complex components.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and CAD models to develop CNC machining strategies.
  • Program 5-axis and multi-axis machines using HyperMill and Fusion 360.
  • Generate and maintain accurate tool paths, setup sheets, and program documentation.
  • Select tooling and recommend fixture designs to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with machine operators, engineers, and quality teams to validate programs.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and revise programs as needed.
  • Support first-article inspections and assist with non-conformance resolution.
  • Recommend improvements for cycle time, surface finish, and tool life.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a CNC programmer in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of HyperMill and Fusion 360 CAM software.
  • Experience programming and operating 5-axis CNC mills and multi-function lathes.
  • Prior work with DMG Mori machines and large turning equipment is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience machining exotic materials (e.g., Inconel, Hastelloy, stainless alloys).
  • Ability to read and interpret GD&T, blueprints, and 3D CAD models.
  • Understanding of cutting tool selection, feeds and speeds, and fixture design.
  • Familiarity with machining components for rotating equipment is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.
  • Capable of working independently and managing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on shop environment around large rotating components.
  • Willingness to work overtime or modified shifts based on production demands.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.

  • Industrial machine shop environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Requires sitting, standing, bending, walking, and using hands/tools for extended periods.
  • Requires operation of industrial equipment.
  • Occasional extended hours based on operational or customer needs.

Equal Employment Opportunity

Fox Innovation & Technologies Inc. is an equal opportunity organization. We recruit, employ, train, compensate, and promote without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, age, gender, marital status, disability, protected veteran status, or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
