Job Summary:


Produce CNC programs for various cutting operations on Plasma tables, CNC lasers, CNC tube lasers, and our Waterjet.

This includes, but is not limited to, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Pronest, Bysoft, and DrABE.

Occasionally requiring use and knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft programs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


-Production of multi-axis programs for our water jet machine, tube and flat lasers using engineering CAD/CAM software.

-Assist and instruct other CNC programmers in using the CAD/CAM software.

-Work with machine operators to produce accurate press brake programs and flats.

-Working with laser operators to create efficient nests that help reduce down-time from machine failures caused by tip ups.

-Maintain the CAD/CAM software and updates, including their respective filing system.

-Maintain standards for programming and design.

-Maintain an accurate and well managed physical inventory

-Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:


1-3 years of CAD/CAM programming experience. A background in Sheetmetal production is a plus.

Experience with close tolerances and have a complete understanding of CNC machine operations.

A strong knowledge of programming and designing software, the position requires being proficient in 3D Solid Modeling.

Have excellent communication skills to work closely with different departments to ensure product designs meet customer requirements
