About the Role:

As the Process Engineering Manager, you will lead the process engineering function while driving continuous improvement at a new plant. This is an exciting opportunity to implement best practices across multiple departments and help shape operational excellence from the ground up. In this role, you will develop new designs and equipment modifications to enhance production capability and improve quality standards. You will also lead process improvement projects across a range of manufacturing processes using Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.
 
This position is required to be onsite.

  • Works closely with Plant Management and functional teams to identify process bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis and implement process improvements across the business.
  • Maintains process operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing project, operational and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Initiates and leads projects that improve end-to-end processes, including the setup, validation and auditing of measurement systems to deliver measurable business impact.
  • Resolves quality issues by identifying problems, evaluating solutions, implementing action plans and providing the necessary resources.
  • Leads the Engineering Team at the plant.
  • Communicates key initiatives to the Manager, Plant Operations.
  • Drives productivity and process improvement projects aligned with business initiatives.
  • Conducts quality awareness and Sigma Belt training across the organisation.
  • Coaches project teams to fulfil certification requirements and achieve quality and process improvement objectives.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks and benchmarking leading practices.
  • Drives high levels of employee retention and engagement to support a sustainable workforce.
  • Fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration and accountability within the organisation.
  • Creates an inclusive environment in which all employees feel able to contribute and make a positive impact on the company.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
  • Lean Six Sigma training/certification preferred
Experience
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Process Engineer in an industrial manufacturing environment involving product trials, customer complaints and product testing
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience leading, supervising or managing high-performing teams in a similar environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to lead and train others in a fast-paced environment
