Job description

Position Summary... What you'll do...The Manager II, Quality Engineer role sits at the heart of Quality and Process Improvement within a Distribution Center, driving measurable results through the Walmart Performance System (WPS). You’ll partner closely with Operations and Department Managers to eliminate quality losses, standardize work, and build sustainable capabilities across the network. What You’ll Do
  • Lead process improvement initiatives using tools such as 5S, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and time and motion studies to eliminate quality losses and process variation.
  • Manage execution of top quality loss projects within the functional area, including deviation tracking from One Best Way playbooks and identification of replication opportunities.
  • Support the tactical deployment of the Quality Excellence WPS methodology, including gap analysis, performance metrics, and quality loss profile development.
  • Partner with Department Managers to drive WPS programs, associate engagement, and KPI improvements within assigned process areas.
  • Deliver results through KPI analysis, loss elimination, and the creation of standard work to reduce variation and sustain improvements.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional activities by building strong stakeholder relationships, tracking progress, addressing improvement opportunities, and promoting continuous learning.

  • Have hands‑on experience leading process improvement or quality initiatives in a distribution, manufacturing, or operations environment.
  • Are proficient in WPS, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Can analyze data, identify root causes, and translate insights into practical, scalable solutions.
  • Have experience leading projects, influencing leaders, and developing associates through coaching and mentoring.
  • Thrive in a fast‑paced environment and can manage multiple priorities while driving measurable results.

The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $156,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
