Job description

SUMMARY

An Engineering Quoter is responsible for generating, tracking and communicating quoting activities for new and existing customers. This includes producing accurate bills of material and pricing ensuring manufacturability, quality and correct documentation. The ideal candidate should have an analytical mindset to determine the best way to efficiently manufacture machined components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Analyzes blue prints, specifications and other documentation to prepare accurate quotation on all customer RFQs.

· Develops Bill of Materials in Epicor ERP system with all pertinent information and instruction to ensure accurate and effective manufacturing methods meeting all customer requirements

· Identifies labor, material and time requirements for all manufacturing operations

· Work with manufacturing to ensure standards and methods are accurate

· Presents prepared estimates to Sales and Customer Service teams

· Maintains cost and manufacturing standards database

· Maintain standard product price lists

QUALIFICATIONS

· Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Degree Preferred

· Associates Degree in Technical Area

· 0-2 years in manufacturing environment

· Familiar with CAD programs

· Proficient in Microsoft Office
