Summary

Equativ is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Account Executive to join our growing Canadian team based in Toronto. This role will focus on driving strategic partnerships and revenue growth across agency holding companies, independent agencies, and select brand-direct advertisers within the programmatic advertising ecosystem.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of programmatic advertising, experience selling advertising technology solutions, and an established network across the Canadian media landscape. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them leverage Equativ's suite of programmatic, CTV, video, native, and curation solutions to achieve their business objectives.

Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Business Development

  • Develop, manage, and grow relationships across agency holding companies, independent agencies, and direct advertiser accounts throughout Canada.

  • Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities while expanding existing partnerships.

  • Define, achieve, and exceed quarterly revenue targets and key performance objectives.

  • Build and execute strategic account plans designed to drive long-term growth.

Client Partnership & Consulting

  • Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, traders, planners, buyers, and agency leadership teams.

  • Become a subject matter expert on Equativ's products, solutions, and marketplace offerings.

  • Act as a trusted consultant, providing recommendations and insights to improve campaign performance and business outcomes.

  • Deliver ongoing client education, training, and product updates as new features and capabilities are introduced.

Market & Industry Leadership

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the Canadian programmatic advertising ecosystem, competitive landscape, and industry trends.

  • Represent Equativ at industry events, client meetings, and marketplace discussions.

  • Identify opportunities around CTV, video, retail media, curation, and emerging programmatic solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Customer Success, Operations, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure client success and revenue growth.

  • Collaborate on strategic opportunities and custom marketplace solutions.

  • Provide feedback from the market to help influence product development and go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience within digital advertising, adtech, or programmatic media.

  • 3+ years of experience in a client-facing sales, account management, or business development role.

  • Deep understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, including SSPs, DSPs, agency trading desks, and media buying workflows.

  • Existing relationships with Canadian agency holding companies, independent agencies, and/or direct advertisers preferred.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.

  • Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders at multiple levels.

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and evolving environment.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling SSP, DSP, CTV, video, native, retail media, data, audience, or programmatic advertising solutions.

  • Knowledge of the Canadian advertising landscape and key agency relationships.

  • Experience working with HoldCos, Agency partners, and/or Brand Directย 

  • Familiarity with curated marketplaces, SPO initiatives, and programmatic innovation.
