Job description

Job Summary: In accordance with the organization's mission, vision and values, the COTI RN is responsible for supporting general medical administrative & programmatic oversight of all clients as it relates to medical compliance. The following duties will apply:
Duties
  1. Assures that all clients' medical files are in compliance with Agency and regulatory polices, practices and procedures.
  2. Provide direction, supervision and assistance to program staff where there are medical concerns; including on call support where necessary.
  3. Responds appropriately to crisis and emergency situations in order to ensure/secure the health and safety of the clients. Adheres to regulatory guidelines and follows-up by appropriate communication and documentation.
  4. Participate in general, staff, in-service and supervisory meetings held by the Agency.
  5. Coordinate ongoing support/care utilizing the outreach board.
  6. Conducts other related Agency training as directed and within area of expertise.
  7. Perform other duties and functions as directed.
  8. Provide health assessments in community to determine treatment needs and help facilitate appropriate referrals.

Minimum Qualifications: Current NYS RN. Valid NYS Drivers' License. Behavioral health background preferred.

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with culturally diverse persons, staff and community service providers.
  3. Working knowledge of behavioral health.
  4. Ability to multi-task, have good problem solving & time management skills.
  5. Recognition and understanding of the scope of practice according to the Nurse Practice Act.
  6. E-Record.
  7. Comfort within Community and Crisis Services.
